The UN Chief Ban Ki-Moon said he has requested the resignation of Babacar Gaye a Senegalese army General who took charge of Minusca when it was deployed in September 2014. This is coming after Amnesty International alleged that a 12 year old girl was raped by a UN peacekeeper.
The UN has earlier been accusted of covering up allegation of child abuse by french Troops serving in CAR
